| HI-TECH is the only Company to have manufactured the Largest Pneumatic Fender in INDIA. | |
|
The conventional Solid Fenders and Foam Filled Fenders rely on the elasticity of the rubber / foam to absorb the kinetic energy of the ship. The elasticity and the other properties of rubber / foam being are not constant, in marine environment, due to ageing. This causes a reduction in the Energy Absorption capacity and increase in the Reaction Forces. Alternatively, the HI-TECH Pneumatic Fender uses the elasticity of the compressed air. The properties of compressed air remains constant throughout the working life of the Fender, giving consistent values of Energy Absorption and Reaction Forces. |
The compressed air absorbs a greater amount of kinetic energy and causes its distribution over the surface of the Fender, thus exerting a very low surface pressure & thereby producing a lesser and a gradual reaction. This provides a longer working life for the Fender.

The Quality Assurance Advantage ..... | |
|
|
HI-TECH has INDIA’s largest size Press for Load
Deflection & Energy Absorption Tests.
This Press can handle job sizes upto 7.5mtr (w)x 12mtr(I) x 5mtr. (h). This enables to provide a total Quality Assurance of Fenders, of all types & sizes, by testing them at their maximum load capacity. HI-TECH has now extended its services to Repairs of damaged Fenders. |
| The outstanding advantage of this facility lies in its ability to revive life in such fenders and thereby providing an extended working life to the Fendering system and a substantial cost-effectiveness for any project. Nevertheless, these repairs are Quality Assured by the performance test carried out on this Press and other testing facilities. | |
